Cooking for the Nervous System: My Philosophy as a Private Chef

To me, modern luxury is calm.

I’m not interested in excess for its own sake. I’m interested in meals that feel satisfying, grounding, and easy to digest — physically and mentally.

How I define supportive cooking

I focus on:

  • stable blood sugar

  • thoughtful timing

  • flavour without overload

  • presentation that feels reassuring rather than performative

Food should feel like a soft landing at the end of the day.

My guiding principles

  1. Balance is more powerful than restriction

  2. Timing matters as much as ingredients

  3. Ritual and familiarity support wellbeing

Food doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful. When it’s cooked with intention, it does its best work quietly — in the background of daily life.
